One of the great things about the La Peer, should you choose to staycation or even daycation there, is that you can park once and have access to some of the best spots in the City. Here are 8 of Nick’s current faves (which also happen to be some of mine): Gelato Festival, Craig’s, Gracias Madres, Cecconi’s, Dogpound Fitness, Crossroads, SOL and in his own backyard (errrr, we mean pool and roof), Olivetta.
La Peer is in The West Hollywood District, where I happen to call home. When Kimpton broke ground on an art-forward boutique hotel on La Peer Hotel, Nick Rimedio took me on a hard hat tour before it opened it doors. As I stood on that rooftop, I knew it would be special. It became a spot to bring your laptop and be surrounded by other creative people, the perfect place to take a meeting, celebrate a birthday, swim, grab a drink, shoot amazing photos and so much more.
Nick had a vision of a beautiful design gem that would become a cornerstone of the District. I argue that it has become the heart of it. When COVID19 hit and knocked the entire hospitality industry for a loop, Nick had to reinvent.
Take a listen to our interview with him.
What about you? Where is your favorite staycation spot?
