11 things I love about @cuyamabuckhorn:

1. The vibe. Think mid century modern meets cowboy, all with very thoughtful, elevated touches.

2. The staff. Everyone is so warm and friendly and has a sense of ownership - like they are welcoming you to their home.

3. The patios. My private patio on a deluxe queen room faces the courtyard complete with the most gorgeous pink flowering tree (I will get the name).

4. The bed. Oh this perfect bed (I’m writing this from bed) in @brooklinen crisp white sheets and perfect pillows.

5. Starry skies. Wide open expanses of inky skies with twinkling stars.

6. The stargazing is even better while floating in their pool. The POOL. I could have spent the whole day in there. Oh wait, I did. There is also a barrel sauna and a hot tub. Hot tub in the desert? Don’t worry. They keep it at the perfect temp.

7. Hiking trails and horses. With a couple more days, I swear I would have done that 🤣 I like the option.

8. The food. Helmed by @dnlhorn, he works with local farmers and growers and artisans to create a seasonal menu that showcases the community. And the staff even calls you to make sure you place your dinner order in time.

9. @vervecoffee. In the room. ‘Nuff said.

10. It’s only a little over two hours away to feel a total reset. The drive itself is an adventure and can take you through Malibu, a national forest and many other California treats depending on what adventure you choose.

11. Clean air. A quick visit to my iPhone told me that Air Quality was good. No wonder I feel recharged.
